Types of online violence

It has already become clear in the definition that there are different types of online violence.

Cyberstalking

It is when someone uses technology to stalk or track another person. This can include monitoring their online activity, sending threatening messages, or harassing them in other ways.

Revenge porn

 This is the act of sharing explicit images or videos of someone without their consent.

Doxxing

It refers to the act of gathering and publishing someone’s personal information online without their consent. This can include their full name, address, and contact information.

Trolling

It is the act of deliberately upsetting or annoying someone online. This can include making inflammatory comments or posting offensive content.

Hate speech

It refers to the use of language or behavior intended to harmsomeone based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics.

Harassment

It refers to unwanted attention or behavior towards someone online. This can include making threats, sending unwanted messages, and stalking.

Cyberbullying

It is the act of using technology to harm, harass, or embarrass someone. This can include spreading rumors, making mean comments, or posting
inappropriate content.
