A video, recently a video caused a stir on Instagram, TikTok and X (Twitter). It allegedly proves that Israel staged the murder of a child by Hamas. The video show a boy with his leg twisted and lying on the ground. Next to his head is a pool of blood, and around him men wearing kippas and zizit, identifying them as Jews. A camera crew is filming.
A quote from a user: “#Israel is making these kind of fake videos and blaming & killing innocent Palestinians”. But the truth is quite different!
The video was posted online back in April 2022 and shows the shooting of the Palestinian short film “Empty Place”. Director Awni Eshtaiwe confirmed to the Reuters news agency that the video scenes come from his film. (The film is about a 13-year-old Palestinian boy who was hit by a car in East Jerusalem.)
