Online event – Populism, transparency and integrity

The We-Europeans on 4 October we were dealing with Populism, transparency and integrity. The key note speech was held by Flora Cresswell, Regional Coordinator of Western Europe from Transparency International.
Populism aspects in contemporary EU societies were discussed by Elke Merks-Schaapveld, the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Cyprus, Mario Leone, Director of the Altiero Spinelli Institute of Federalist Studies and a member of the Federalist European Movement, as well as Kyriakos Pieridis from the Association of European Journalists.
In a second panel about European citizenship and EU values of transparency, integrity, solidarity and democracy participated Dr. Odysseas Michaelides, Auditor General of the Republic of Cyprus at Cyprus Supreme Audit Institution, Dr. Theano Kalavana, Chairperson at OPEK Forum for a Citizens Union as well as the Youth Ambassador Panos Ntoas.
