Wij zijn Europeanen – wat betekent dat en waarom moeten wij actief opkomen voor Europa en zijn waarden. Sinds 1957 heeft de Europese Unie indrukwekkende verwezenlijkingen aan elkaar geregen voor haar burgers en voor de wereld:
- een continent dat in vrede leeft
- burgers die de vrijheid genieten om overal in de EU te gaan wonen, studeren of werken
- de grootste eengemaakte markt ter wereld
- hulp en ontwikkelingsbijstand voor miljoenen mensen overal ter wereld

Many of the challenges we face – be it climate change, migration, terrorism or pandemics – can only be tackled effectively through cross-border cooperation. Europe offers a platform for finding joint solutions to these global challenges.
